Development Questions

How did Stoic start out as a site?
- Stoic was first available online on March 27, 2004. It was my first online comic, completely seperate from my Anime fan site, Anime Exclamation. Stoic was originally an extension of Anime Exclamation but never really started. Anime Exclamation officially born on August of 2002 and died early 2004. However a washy version of it first appeared 2001. If you want to go even further, the site was called Dbzman's Dragonball Z site back in 1997-1998. Check out the "history" page under "ombnibus" if you want to learn more.

What do you use to make this site?
- The webmaster uses the program "Notepad" for html coding and "Gimp" for graphics because he is too poor to buy Adobe Photoshop. I also use Painter 8 for the more recent work.

Who made this site?
- The layout, comic art, comic story, and information on this site are all created by Henry Del Rosario.

How did you learn to make a site?
- When I was younger I loved Dragonball Z, so I made a Dbz fan site like thousands others. I read all the html and coding tutorials I could find. After I moved on to bigger and better Anime I discovered many great sites. I learned by looking at their page's code and layout styles. After learning from my mistakes since I was 12, I finally ended up with a nice, not too flashy, web layout with clean coding. Check out the html tutorials in the "tutorials" page.

Where did you get the information and the material/images for you site layout?
- All the images on this site are created by Henry Del Rosario and are do not contain any parts of someone's else's work. Most of the images start out as scans drawn by me.

How do you create your comic?
- All the pages start out as sketches. I ink them and then scan the page. I use Gimp and Corel Painter 8 for all my coloring. I usually use a mouse but I am now using my tablet much more often. Check out the "tutorials" page to see exactly how I do the comic.
